Calling the next number

The Queue System is a 'now serving' caller — drive the live queue number that shows on your screens.

The Queue System is a queue-number, "now serving" caller — the deli-counter style "Now serving number 42" you show on a screen. (It is not a support or issue tracker.) It has two tabs: Ticket Control (drive the live number) and Display Settings (configure which screens show it and how it sounds).

Ticket Control

Queue System control panel

The control panel shows the current number large and centre, with:

  • (minus) — go back one number (disabled at 1).
  • + (plus) — advance to the next number (the usual "call the next customer" action). Advancing pushes the new number to the enabled displays and plays their sound.
  • Call again — re-announce the current number (re-trigger the sound) without changing it, in case the customer didn't hear it.
  • A custom number input and Set — jump straight to a specific number (for example, reset to 1 at the start of the day).
  • A status line — "N displays enabled" — how many screens are currently showing the queue number.

Every change is sent live to the displays that have the queue system enabled.
