Choosing screens and transitions

Assign a playlist to displays, and set the effects played between slides.

Screens

Playlist editor, Screens tab

The Screens tab lists the displays this playlist is assigned to β€” each row shows the screen name, its live status and a remove button. + Screens opens the display picker to assign more. (A display can also be added from the device drawer's Playlists tab.)

Transitions

Transitions dialog

The Transitions button opens a dialog to set the effect played between slides. There's an Enter effect and an Exit effect, each chosen from: Auto, None, Fade in, Fade out, Slide down, Slide up, Slide left, Slide right.

When you pick anything other than Auto/None, two more controls appear for that effect: an easing curve (a long list β€” Smooth, Quick start, Slow middle, Bounce, Elastic, and the full ease-in/out family) and a Duration in milliseconds (default 500, between 100 and 5000).

Unlike the rest of the editor, this dialog is not autosaved β€” set your effects and press Save (or Cancel to discard).

Saving the playlist

Everything else in the playlist editor autosaves, and the header indicator confirms each save. The Active/Paused toggle reflects whether the playlist is live; changes reach the assigned displays on their next sync.
